Weary & Uninspired
A friend texted to ask for my blog address. I sent it, but noted I hadn't been writing in it lately. She rep lied that she had been looking for inspiration. I retorted, "Look to the Lord!" But this response was exactly what I needed to hear, even though it came from my own mouth. The business of life has kept me a bit weary and uninspired of late. A recent cold with fever, coughing, and constant nose blowing has left me physically tired. The combination of spiritual and physical fatigue is a recipe for disaster! I have been studying the Word lately, especially since I've been leading discussion at a women's Bible study on Tuesdays. And although I'm especially struck by God's grace and goodness while reading, it's as if my brain has some sort of mental Teflon coating it, keeping the Lord's promises from sticking.
