Fighting for the Food

We started feeding the wild birds, putting bird seed on a wall next to our home. At first, they were curious and open to sharing. Many larger birds like dove and quail began to join the smaller birds after about a week. These birds too were willing to allow other birds in to their area to feed. But, the numbers grew and after only a few days, the birds were waiting on the fence for us to put out food.      After about a month, large birds began swooping in and scaring off the smaller birds. I intervened by shooing them away and now they hover around the area, but are not as brazen. The interesting thing though is that today I noticed that the birds have all become aggressive and territorial about the bird seed. One dove started pecking at a quail that kept coming near her area, the quail kept backing away and then got two other quail and charged the dove to shoo her away! It is now down to gang behavior.      The last straw to my bird feedin...

Eyes to See

First, let's begin with prayer for a 20 year old woman in North Carolina who recently removed her own eyes while in a methamphetamine (also known as meth, chalk, crank, crystal, ice, or speed) induced episode. The pictures showed a girl with beautiful, green eyes, but apparently she had been introduced to the drug and it had ravaged her life in just six months.      Lord, we pray for Kaylee and others who are being deceived by people who are introducing them to these awful illegal drugs and others who are choosing to use illegal drugs or overuse even legal drugs. The devil would want that all would be drug laden so he could influence their minds and easily convince them that evil is good and good is evil. Lord, I don't know how to help these people, but I know you do. Please lay your hand of healing upon Kaylee and others who are in the clutches of drug and alcohol addiction. Help Kaylee to use her terrible situation for Your good and hers. Amen....
