Step out and Stop

Joshua 3:8 Give this command to the priests who carry the Ark of the Covenant: 'When you reach the banks of the Jordan River, take a few steps into the river and stop there.'" Without the obedience to step, the river wouldn't have dried up. Our obstacles are waiting for us to believe we can stand firm against them in the LORD. As Christians we can no longer be afraid to put our toes into the water of evangelism. The cost of our fear and lack of obedience to God is the loss of souls throughout the world. Those souls will not just live in eternal darkness, but eternal suffering. God would not have that, but if we, who are His hands and feet upon this earth don't act quickly, many will die not choosing Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, never getting an opportunity to live out their eternal destinies with their Creator and God. Political Chaos

     I'm saddened to see the options we have for U.S. President in the upcoming election. Rather than sit by and "sigh," I'm going to ask anyone who is "listening" to think of other options. God is a God of order, not chaos. The ads and rhetoric that has been flooding our airways, frankly, are sewing discord. The gossip and name calling is not what we should accept as "our only option." God is bigger than our political system and if God is for either of these current candidates then they will be put into office, but if He's just waiting, as in the time of the kings of the old testament, for us to choose Him over a wo/man to be in charge of our world, country, and government, then it's time that we pray that He intervene.       I obviously cannot speak for God, but I would like to offer another option,  Former U.S. Secretary Condoleezza Rice, would make a better choice for U.S. President in "such a time as this."
