Cleaning Day
Saturday is cleaning day. Cleaning is just not one of my gifts:) I'd much rather create messes than pick them up and organize them. But, none-the-less God is a God of order, not of chaos. I always feel so much better when everything is in its place and I've gotten rid of stuff I either don't use or don't need.
I have a couple of friends that are great examples for me of what a clean and organized home looks like. One says she prefers the minimalist approach or "less is more" in her home design. So she doesn't purchase much or use much in her home decor. Another is the type that doesn't keep anything unused around for any more than a year. If it's not used in a year, it goes to Goodwill.
What I feel the Lord has spoken into my heart lately is, "Why are you keeping things that you don't use, but that others need?" Although I'm far from being a hoarder, there are definitely things around our home that haven't been used in more than a year, probably more like ten years! It's time to release them to be used by others and release me from storing and dusting them:) KT

I bought these pots as I liked the sleek design and they were on sale...Did I need them? No! I'd have much more to give the Lord for His purposes and missions if I spent less on things that I really don't need.
Malachi 3:8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the LORD Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the LORD Almighty.
