Backup Plan
My computer crashed yesterday! I had a thought a couple days ago that I should backup my computer data, but didn't know how so I didn't do it. Now the computer geeks are checking to see if they can retrieve my data. I will be sooo sad if that isn't possible, all my photos, writings, contacts, etc. will be lost.
This reminds me of our pastor's message on Sunday regarding The Lamb's Book of Life. At the Judgment Seat of God there will be books that will have detailed records of our lives. Those people that have given their lives over to Christ will not be judged as much as we will be rewarded for our faithfulness to God and His Will for our lives. People that have not believed that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and their Lord and Savior will be judged on every word, deed and sin from their entire lives. Similar to when people say they are dying and their lives flash before their very eyes, so will their sins be viewed in a split second.
If you are hoping to "legal-speak" God and get out of being judged on a technicality, think again. God will have your whole life "backed-up" in His Book and you will see your deeds as they really are unclean and unjustifiable. The only way any of us can get to heaven is through the Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross as a living sacrifice for our sins. Just accept that you aren't perfect and that He is and He loves you enough to give you a way out...The Way...His Son.
I may have lost my "stuff" on my computer, but at least I will not be lost for eternity due to the "back up plan" of God as it's His Will that none should be lost, no not one. KT

This is such good news for us...yet for loved ones and even strangers, makes me want to beg them to accept Jesus.
ReplyDeleteI hope you retrieve your photos and writings. But there is a book that won't be lost due to to technicalities. And thank goodness, all my sins have been washed away and I will not be reminded of those sins because I have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. My name will be recorded in the Lambs Book of Life.
