Time Flies
I can't believe it is almost March. The days and weeks have been flying by. It makes me ponder whether I'm a good steward of the time God has given me here on earth. At the end of each day I usually do a mental inventory of the days activities and projects that have been accomplished. Since I no longer work outside the home, it seems like I'm never sure when I've worked enough.
If there are still hours in the day, should I continue to work or can I stop without guilt when the sun goes down? I can't answer this for you as I haven't resolved the issue myself, but this is what the Bible says about time:
Ephesians 5:15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, 16making the most of your time, because the days are evil. 17 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; 21 and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.
I have found lately that many of the things I do with my time seem foolish and wasteful. Maybe this is God letting me know His will in my life. I'll continue to pray for His wisdom and clarity on this matter. Blessings, KT
