Aroma of Christ

The temperatures have been in the triple digits here lately, but tonight the wind is blowing. I love the feeling of an evening where I can stand under a clear, starry night with a warm breeze blowing. The sound of the palm leaves as the wind blows through them adds to the romance of such a night. It's interesting to ponder, that wind makes no sound except by what it blows on or through.
God is like the wind. He can blow strong and powerfully, but unless He comes in contact with someone His Spirit can't make an impact. His Spirit must be in us and move through us to create change in our lives and the lives of those we come in contact.
In our backyard the Star Jasmine is blooming, so when the wind blows the fragrance of the blossoms dances throughout our property. In 2 Corinthians 2:15 it notes, "...we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved..." God blows the aroma of Christ to the world through Christians willing to have the Holy Spirit blow through us and upon us. KT
Star Jasmine blooming in our yard. Love the smell!!!
2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? 17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
