Personality Flaws

Recently I was with a group of women and one woman was discussing some of her problems. Other women chimed in with possible solutions. To each solution this woman had a reason why the solution would not work or that she had tried such and so before and it didn't work. Finally the group quit making suggestions and the woman continued with her litany of problems.
Today in another group of women another woman spoke on her personality traits and how she was apparently unable to influence any of them in a positive direction to a resolution of her current problems. As I listened I saw how these two women were similar and how so many times I do the same things. I deny my part in the problem, blame others for the problem or excuse my behavior that may be causing the problem.
Another woman in the group brought up the scripture about the speck in another's eye when we have a log in our own. At times I have an entire lumberyard in my eye! I could build a subdivision with the timber in my eye! What a relief to know that God knows I'm a lumberjack and in need of a Master Carpenter to take the logs I'm accumulating and make them into viable bridges to bridge the gaps in my personality traits and build shelters to cover over the personality flaws of those around me with love. Thank you Lord, KT

Matthew 7:5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
