Western Wailing Wall
One of my favorite experiences during our recent trip to Israel was praying at the Western (Wailing) Wall. It was awesome to be standing among Jewish believer who were fervently praying; some out loud, some crying, some swaying and some were reading holy books. As I laid my hand on the wall and closed my eyes to pray, it felt as if all the world had fallen away. It was just me and the Lord. Tears began to trickle down my cheeks as I gave thanks to the Lord. Then I had a picture of the Lord appear in my head that was like a negative of a photo of a man, but I somehow knew it was Jesus.
This trip to Israel took me to places where Jesus lived, worked, prayed, taught and ultimately gave His life as a sacrifice for my sins and the sins of the world. I left humbled and insightful. Things that seemed important before this trip don't have the same level of importance anymore. Things that I did not give much attention to prior to visiting Israel now seem to be of utmost importance. Reading the Holy Bible makes more sense to me now that I can visualize the sites spoken of in the scriptures. May God give me wisdom and discernment in regard to how He wants me to use this new understanding for His glory. Amen.

Western Wailing Wall (what is left of the old temple city) in Jerusalem, Israel
Luke 24:50 When he (Jesus) had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. 51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. 52 Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. 53 And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.

Here come the tears again. I am so thankful that someone I know and touched actually touched the places where the Lord was....very humbling in deed. God bless you sister.
