Listen to Instruction

I've had a lot of different jobs and thus a lot of different bosses. I've been a boss, but of course, someone has always been just a rung above me. That's what having a job is all about, doing your best, in spite of all the different expectations of those around you whether bosses, clients, employees or service personnel. You will never please everyone, it's futile to try. What you can do, is the best you can do and when that's not good enough, find out what else they'd like you to do and how they'd like you to do it.
Trust me, humility does not come easily for me, and truly it's what got me into trouble with my bosses in the past. If I felt I was doing the right thing for the right reason, I wouldn't back down. Of course, God finally allowed that attitude to catch up with me, since He had already told me in His Word about being submissive to those in authority over me. But that's a story for another time and hopefully one you'll never have to learn, if you will remember that Jesus suffered and was righteous, so you may suffer too, right or wrong, it is what it is here on earth.
Take your concerns to the Lord, but don't air them in public. "Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise" (Proverbs 19:20). "Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge" (Proverbs 19:27). And always keep in mind, "There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD" (Proverbs 21:30). Don't make me say, "I told you so," neither one of us will be happy about it.
These three Israeli soldiers just went through their graduation ceremony on the top of Masada. They had to hike 84 miles and to the top of Masada, with all their equipment, for their graduation. I'm sure if they had refused, they would not have graduated and all their previous efforts and future opportunities would have been in vain.
Proverbs 21:21 He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.
