Little Faith

Our regular pastor was gone this morning and a gentleman named Randy Wiliams (that's how it was spelled in the bulletin) preached. As far as I know, I've never seen the man before, but he said he was a youth pastor in an area church. Part of his introduction was that he was a man of little faith, even his family members would agree to this confession.
I thought to myself, How can a man who is a pastor for young people, be a man of little faith? As I listened he made a number of good points:
1. God is always at work doing something even when I'm convinced He is not.
(John 5:17, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
2. God provides comfort on the deepest emotional level no matter your Bible knowledge or even your track record with God.
(Luke 17:11-19)
3. God never ceases to amaze me that somehow He chooses to use me to do things that I thought only super spiritual people could do.
(Matthew 14:13-21)
Randy made the point that the little boy that gave his lunch of bread and fish to Jesus was used by God to feed the 5000, just by showing up! He noted sometimes we have to tell God that we don't trust Him and ask Him to please help us to trust Him. Essentially, that at any given time, we may be people of little faith, but we must pray and ask God to show us that He is in control and working everything in our lives for His plans, purposes and glory.
My fish lunch in Israel. No loaves, only fries:)
John 6:Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”
