Unspeakable Evil
Today, in the USA, is a sad day. One of our citizens turned on his fellow Americans. He single handedly ruined and destroyed the lives, families and futures of many. But what I know about Americans is this, they band together when evil raises its awful head and strike it down with prayers, love, kindness and compassion toward one another, even if total strangers. We are a band of brothers.
What God does with the man who made these gruesome choices today is unknown, but will be fair and completely correct as only the judge of the universe can be. We need not waste our time on hating him, but instead expend our energy on loving those who are hurting and mourning.
God tells us not to even speak of what the evil do in dark places. Ephesians 5:6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not become partners with them; 8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret.

God please be with all the people involved in today's shooting in Aurora, CO. Lord please place Your healing hands upon the suffering whether physically or emotionally and bring them peace. Amen.
James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
I agree with how we stick together when these acts of violence come about. To focus on the hurting ones instead of the dark one that caused this is a good reminder! Lord, watch over your kids and protect them from the workers of inequity....
