Be an Answer to Pray

In this book series I'm reading, called Above The Line, by Karen Kingsbury the mother of a character is grateful to another woman for helping her daughter in a dire time of need. The conversation struck me as poignant:
And her mother hugged Lucia for a long time, "You were my answer to prayer."
"That's our job as believers," Lucia smiled at Andi's mother. "To be an answer to someone's prayer--ever day...as long as we live."
What a blessing I would be to God and others if I took that statement to heart. It's not that I don't have the opportunity, it's that I don't always have the obedience. It's a reminder, that it is a sin to not do what we know we should do.
Sometimes what we are called to do, isn't safe, it may require risk or cause us fear and anxiety.
But if God's in it, He'll take us through it. Let's lean on Him.
James 4:17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
