Caught Off Guard

     Last night we had a big dust storm. It happened after we had gone to bed. In the morning, my husband found our big pool umbrella still attached to it's heavy metal stand, mangled, and hanging over into the neighbor's yard. It made me think that even when we are anchored, heavily in the Word of God, we can get caught off guard, and drug off course. Things can catch us by surprise at any time of day or night. We need to start and end each day in prayer. Choose Jesus Christ to be your rear guard and He will protect you during surprise attacks.

Isaiah 58:8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn, 
    and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
    and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. 
 Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
