Children Will Rebel

I went to lunch with some lovely godly ladies today. During lunch one woman seemed completely baffled by the way people were raising their children today. She noted that when her daughter was young, she told her what was acceptable to wear and not wear. She said that her daughter had consequences if she misbehaved. Another lady said that parents are afraid of Children's Services Division today and don't discipline in fear of their kids getting mad and reporting them for abuse that didn't actually happen. The third woman raised her children well and yet her son seems to take no interest in her or her husband any longer. She's sad and confused.
In 2 Timothy 3:1-5 we are warned, "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people." Do we think the things of the Bible were written for another people in another time? God gave us His Word as a "User's Guide to the Universe" so to speak, it's time that we start reading His "Owner's Manual" so we can navigate these days that cause us confusion and create chaos in our lives.
Mt. Rushmore-Quote by President Abe Lincoln-All the good the Saviour gave to the world was communicated through this book. But for it we could not know right from wrong. All things most desirable for man's welfare, here and hereafter, are to be found portrayed in it.

Mark 13:7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains...12 “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. 13 Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
