Easy Life
I had a long talk with my sister-in-law yesterday morning and watched the movie, Secretariat last night. The theme of both was the idea of overcoming difficulties and coming out on the other side wiser and stronger than you were before the experience. Human nature often calls us to avoid trials and tribulations, to make our lives easier even at the expense of greater character. An easy life doesn't always equate to a good life.
Proverbs 30 says it best:
7 There are two things, Lord,
I want you to do for me
before I die:
8 Make me absolutely honest
and don’t let me be too poor
or too rich.
Give me just what I need.
9 If I have too much to eat,
I might forget about you;
if I don’t have enough,
I might steal and disgrace your name.

I won't be on my blog until September 24th. May your relationship with Christ grow and your heart be drawn to hear to His voice in your soul.
Blessings, KT
