Give God the Small Stuff
Our house is filled with family and I'm loving it! But since I'm so used to my regular routine, I've been misplacing things the last few days. So yesterday, after turning the house upside down looking for my battery charger for my camera I said, "Okay Lord, I've looked everywhere, please show me where my charger is." Sure enough, it wasn't a minute or two later, I found it in a place where normally I would have never looked for it.
I forget that the Lord is bigger than all our problems, especially our small ones. Sometimes I feel like I need to "handle" the small stuff and only give God the big worries and concerns. But the small stuff, if not dealt with correctly, can become big! God tells us to pray about everything, at all times. I just need to remember that "everything" means "every thing!"
Thank you Lord for being with me in all my trials, no matter how small they may seem to me. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

ReplyDeleteI can not count the times I needed The Lord to help me find things, do things and say things. He's always there helping me...one day at school, this gang girl lost her cell phone and the teacher had me go with her to try and find it. I shared with her how I always pray for The Lord to help me find things. We looked high and low and just before quitting, she found her phone. The Lord is interested in every aspect of our lives. Thanks for reminding me Kate.
