Awestruck by God

Our new women's Bible study is by Margaret Feinberg, titled Wonder Struck. She asks two questions in the chapter called, Expect the Unexpected, that made me stop and wonder about my own relationship with God. On page 15 she asks, "What ignites in you the desire to live with a holy anticipation that God wants to meet you?" and "What prevents you from living with the expectation that God wants to do awesome work in, through, and around you as described in Exodus 34:10?" (Ex. 34:10 Then the Lord said: “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you.)
I wonder if our expectations for our relationship with God are high enough? Do I have high expectations for myself and the work God has called me to do? Or am I living like everyone else, trying to get through the day until the next day comes without any eye to what the Lord is doing around and through me? Am I becoming numb to the wonders of God by never getting still in His presence? When was the last time I was awestruck by God's amazing wonders? You?

Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for mankind!

  1. Several scary questions. I believe for me, I should slow down...be still and know that He is God...then go where he's. place us?
