My Wonders of God

In this new Bible study, Wonder Struck, written by author Margaret Feinberg, she asks us to keep a journal. Journaling is nothing unusual, but Feinberg writes, "Each day write down three wonders of God and His handiwork." She quotes Psalm 40:5, "Many, LORD my God are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare."
After just a few days of journaling "my wonders of God," a pattern began to emerge. The items listed were about people and nature, rather than things. It seems like I spend a lot of time worrying about things that are needed, lost, or need to be fixed, yet my wonders come from relationships with people and beauty in nature.
It's time my priorities begin to match my wonders! Jesus was about relationships. He came from heaven to seek and save the lost, but while on earth He served. One of the wonders of Christ is His willingness to humble Himself and serve lowly man. How can I not do the same?
John 13:After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

  1. I am going to start journaling because of this blog. Just yesterday, most people know I'm afraid to fly. And when I changed my flight to leave two days earlier, I lost my front seat and had to sit on the wing, at the emergency exit. I almost got off but I prayed for God to help me. First thing He did was give me a window seat because He know I'm claustrophobic. Then a man sat beside me and we had a strange connection. He could tell I was a Christian and we prayed for his wife, Bobs job and shared our testimony as well as all the things God has done. I don't even remember the plane taking off when I heard "we are landing in Portland"!! He is able to do more than we could ever dream of and knew what I needed plus more. I love Him!!!
