Thoughts from a Friend

My friend, Helen, sends wonderful daily scripts. I'm going to share four from this week that really spoke to me:

  • With Good Friday approaching, remember that Jesus' blood obtained eternal life for you and erased the sinful acts of your past (conscious) so that you may serve God.  Heb 9:11-14  Remember that you are worthy to serve Him because He makes you holy.
  • By one sacrifice, He made you perfect forever as you become holy.  Heb 10:14  Jesus made it possible for you to be spiritually perfect forever.  Meanwhile, the Holy Spirit teaches you to become holy as you live your life on earth.
  • "By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command..."  Heb 11:3  Faith is being sure about what you don't see but yet hope for.  God's word and promises are true.  If God said it...I believe, agree and stand with Him.
  • In your struggle against sin, you have not resisted to the point of shedding your own blood.  Heb 12:1-4  You won't ever have to shed your own blood to overcome your sins.  Remember today that He did.
By God sacrificing His Only Son, you and I were allowed to come back into union with God. The more complicated and sinful the world becomes, the more difficult it is to believe that simply by faith in Jesus Christ, you will be saved from death for all eternity. Amen and Thank you, Lord.
Spring flowers blooming in our yard speak of new life.
