No Temple Needed
This photo of the city of Jerusalem has the Muslin Dome of the Rock temple in the center. Below that same plateau, where this shrine is built, is believed by Jewish scholars to be where King Solomon built the first temple for God. Some also believe that the Ark of the Covenant is buried under this shrine, but Muslin believers will not allow the Jewish architects to dig underneath the mosque.
None of us knows for certain where the Ark of the Covenant has been dwelling all these thousands of years, but what we do know is this: God does not need an ark, a temple, or church to dwell among His people. He sent His own Son to die and His Holy Spirit to dwell in the hearts of men and women who believe not in laws or rules, but in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Call on the Holy Spirit to fall upon you and indwell you, (once you've asked Christ into your life), and the Holy Spirit will give you a specially designed gift to use in ministry for God.
1 Kings 6:11 Now the word of the Lord came to Solomon, 12 “Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and obey my rules and keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father. 13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.”
