Peace in Egypt

Just read an email from someone who knows a  missionary living in Egypt. He is concerned that things are spiraling out of control and may come to a head this Sunday. He is calling for us to pray for peace in Egypt and pray for the protection of Christians living there. Satan would desire us to become angry, hateful, and fight one another, but we need to not take on his character.
We need to take on the character of Christ in all our words, actions, and deeds. If we were all loving, kind, and patient in our circle of influence each day, I believe much of the strife in the world would dissipate. Does that sound too simplistic? Then ask yourself what you did today to help your enemy? What did you do to make life better for an orphan or a widow today? What did you do to make a friend's day better? What did you do to make an unhappy loved one's life better? How many times did you do something to make yourself happy today? Yeah, me too.
God forgive us and we pray for peace in Egypt and a hedge of thorns around those who believe in Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them. But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) “or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
