Safe Spot
We recently lost 19 firefighters in a wildfire here in Arizona. These highly trained men got caught off guard when the fire suddenly changed direction on them. They were unable to reach their safe spot. They left behind families, friends, and three of the men's wives were pregnant so their babies will never know them. Heroes to many, yet complete strangers to their own children. A tragedy by all measures and still there was some light at the end of this dark tunnel, as a few of the firefighters' friends noted that they attended church and did God's work.
Let's pray for the families and friends of these brave men. To know for certain that you will go to heaven when you die, simply ask Jesus Christ to come into your life, forgive you of your sins, and save your soul. If you have faith that He is the Son of God and was sent by God as the Messiah, Savior of the world, you will be born again. It will cost you nothing, but your pride, and He will change your life for eternity.
God changed my life after I said a similar prayer kneeling against the couch in a friend's living room. I had made a lifetime of bad choices and didn't know what my future would bring. But after an amazing series of circumstances, God sent His Holy Spirit, His Counselor, to work in me and through me in ways that are unexplainable.
Today is your day for salvation. Just choose Jesus Christ. If He's not who He says He is in the Word of God, the Holy Bible, then you will have lost nothing. But if He is who He says He is and you reject Him, there is an eternal consequence called hell, according to this same book.
You have a 50/50 chance. Are you willing to gamble on your eternity? The choice is yours. God is not going to force anyone to accept His Son. My life is not perfect, I'm not perfect. But due to my decision to choose Christ Jesus as my Savior and Lord, I'm am perfectly saved through His death on the cross and resurrection. Through His suffering, I have been made a new woman, not having to suffer in eternity. Am I going to sin again? Yes. But I will keep bringing my sins to the foot of His cross, to my safe spot, where the flames will never overtake me.

Zechariah 2:3 While the angel who was speaking to me was leaving, another angel came to meet him 4 and said to him: “Run, tell that young man, ‘Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of people and animals in it. 5 And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will be its glory within.’
Love how you get the message out!
