The World Hates You

     As I watch the news lately regarding wars and rumors of wars, I can only cling to the Word of God as my one true source of peace and truth. The politicians and reporters do not necessarily tell the truth, often they leave out important details, twist the truth in their favor, or apparently have reality and fiction mixed up in their minds.
     Jesus Christ told us we would be hated because He was hated first. He told His disciples to not give up in preaching the truth of the Word of God even though they would suffer great afflictions as a result. Am I prepared to face embarrassment, loss of employment, lack of prestige, punishment, or possibly death for the cause of Christ? 
     I believe the Bible is clear that in the last days, Christians that have been converted after the rapture of the church will face awful consequences and ultimately tortured deaths. Wouldn't it be better to trust Jesus Christ with your soul and eternal life right now, rather than waiting to be martyred for the truth later? 
     Today I thank the Lord for Salvation and the peace and truth that comes to me through the Holy Spirit living within me. 

John 15:18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
