Why are you so afraid?

Again last night we had a thunderstorm with lots of lightning and blowing dust. The lightning was so close that bits of light from on strike got through the sides of our blackout curtains and the thunder caused our dog to start whimpering.
The apostles were confronted by a freak storm on the Sea of Galilee and even the bravest of men were crying out to Jesus to save them in the storm. We need to remember their example rather than depending on ourselves or others in those terrifying moments in life, we need to call out to the Only One who can truly save us. Even in their moments of weak faith and great fear, Christ stilled their storm.
I'm thankful today Lord that even though I should not be afraid and my fears may seem silly to You or others, You will still speak "Peace" into my life. You remind me to "Be Still!" since often I'm creating troubles for myself by my lack of faith and listening to the words of the world rather than the Word of God.
Mark 4: 35 On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side.” 36 And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him.37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. 38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” 39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” 41 And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
