Clear View

We had our windows washed today. I knew they were dirty, but now that they are clean, the view is so much clearer! It made me think about our daily lives. We pick up dust and dirt from being in this world. Our view gets dimmer and less clear about what is and isn't sin. But when we get on our knees and pray for forgiveness and cleansing of our sins, spend time in the Word of God (Bible), and pray for clarity with other Christian believers, we get a clearer view of who God is and what He wants us to be doing for Him.
Those people who do not have faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of the Most High God have what the Bible calls "scales" on their eyes due to unbelief. So if you are thinking, "What is wrong with this person? Can't they see what they are doing is wrong?" The simple answer regarding one who is not saved is "no." No, they do not "know better" because their only conscience comes from flesh and blood. They can't see clearly. Christians who have asked Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord are filled with the Holy Spirit of God who is glad to give them a clear view of the world minus all the sin that dims our eternal view.
Acts 9:17 So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Instantly something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up and was baptized.

  1. I love that you have the gift of looking at daily things and seeing God's ways in them. May He continue to show you all these natural things so you can share the super natural ways of The Lord.
