Revelation of Hell
I recently finished reading, A Divine Revelation of Hell, by Mary K. Baxter. The book was copyrighted by Dr. T. L. Lowery and Whitaker House publishers in 1993. I happened to see it on the shelf at the local Goodwill Store and once I began reading it, I couldn't put it down. After reading it, I couldn't stop praying for all the souls I know that aren't safely in the loving Hands of God, and saved by the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ.
The torment of the souls of people who had died without choosing Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord is described in detail by the author who believed God gave her a 40 day tour of hell. It's heart wrenching and soul defining stuff! How could anyone who loves the Lord ever want anyone, even their worst enemies, to suffer the eternal torment that awaits those who chose the Devil over our merciful God for their eternal lives.
Whether this woman's account is true or not is not my point since the Bible makes it clear that we all have a choice to make one day. Luke 19:10 tells us, "For the Son of Man [Jesus Christ] came to seek and to save the lost." But the Bible also informs us that some people will insist on their unbelief and make fun of those who believe that Jesus Christ will return in the clouds and rapture (to take up) the believers (Christians) from the earth before the Tribulation (A 7 year period that the people who have not chosen Jesus Christ as their personal Savior will live on earth after the Holy Spirit of God has been removed from the earth and Satan is allowed to reign, momentarily).
Why will Jesus Christ take Christians up from the earth? Because they had faith that He was who He said He was, God incarnate, God in the flesh who came down to take away all our sins so that one day we could all enter into community with Holy God. We are all invited to be God's children and a part of His Royal Family. For He is King of Kings and there is none like Him and none came before Him. He is not created, He is the Creator and He wants to fellowship with all of us for eternity.
Do not be left behind. God is not against you, but for you. You don't have to do anything, in fact you can't do anything to earn your way to heaven (and don't let anyone tell you otherwise). Salvation (having your soul saved from hell and your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life) is for anyone who believes in his/her heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to earth to die for the sins of the world and rose again three days later (proving He has power over death) and became our living sacrifice so we could enter into the pure, sin-free Kingdom of God-Heaven-where there will be no more tears, fears, or evil.
It doesn't matter what you have done-because God created you He knew you were going to do it anyway, but He gave you free-will to choose. Even if you've walked away from God all your life, now is a new day, the moment you can get saved and be assured of your soul not burning in hell for eternity. No one needs to suffer, Christ Jesus already suffered for us all, but you do need to swallow your pride and admit that you have sinned, lived life your own way without asking for the counsel of God and want to change your ways. God will forgive you...regardless of what you have done.
Then you must humbly ask God to make you a new man or a new woman who lives according to the Word of God. You can't do it yourself, trust me, I've tried. You must give up ownership of your life and lay yourself and all your "stuff" at the foot of the cross. He will sift through your life and get rid of the junk and make you new again...if...if...you will let Him. God is love, thus He will not force Himself upon you, you must accept His invitation of salvation so you can join Him in Heaven one day. The choice is yours, choose wisely my friend.

2 Peter 3:3-13
Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
