Evil is a Choice

Today in the aftermath of a horrendous mass shooting, I am reminded that evil is a choice. This shooter took days in his hotel room, waiting for a large country western concert to take place in Las Vegas, preparing to take the lives of as many innocent people as he could manage. Some on the news were quick to blame guns, but this man with great calculation toted those weapons and the needed ammunition to his room with a plan of devastation in mind. He was bent on destruction of souls, if not guns, he likely would have made a bomb.
We cannot begin to stop those who have made a deal with the devil to do his handy work. This same man could have chosen to save lives through aiding neighbors, volunteering with homeless organizations, and even giving blood. But instead, he chose to take blood. The weapons of evil people will be found, even if just their bare hands, and used as they choose to do their master, the devil's, bidding.
If today you have been choosing evil, stop! Call out to Jesus Christ and pray for Him to forgive you of your sins, and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. He forgives all who truly desire to change their ways and believe in faith that He is the Son of God and the One God sent to saves the lost souls of this world. Choose life!
Don't listen to Satan when he tells you that you are too bad to be saved by Jesus Christ. Satan is a deceiver and liar and will convince you that if you serve him he'll bring you prestige, power, and position that you haven't had yet in life. He may allow temporary gain, but it will be at the cost of your eternal soul. When you die your soul lives on either in hell or heaven. Do not be fooled by philosophies that tell you otherwise.
So where do you want to spend eternity? You have a choice to make. Evil is a choice or you can choose life through your faith in Jesus Christ as your loving Savior and Lord. Choose life...eternally with the One sent to forgive you and call you into the Kingdom of God. All you need to do is say a heartfelt prayer to God telling Him that you want Jesus Christ to come into your life, forgive you of your sins and that you want to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life from now on.
If you said this simple prayer and believe in faith that Jesus Christ died on cross for your sins so that you could become a child of the Most High God then welcome to the Royal Family of the King of Kings. I'll see you one day in heaven!
2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 (NIV)
The coming of the lawless one will be in a accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
