Eyes Have Not Seen
I love the decorations this time of year! Although we live in a desert, I also love the photos of snowy locations with crisp white powder and dreamy pictures of hot cocoa by the fire. We are blessed by all the beauty we have around us including things our eyes see, our ears hear, our noses smell, our skin feels, and our tongues taste.
Paul tells us in I Corinthians 2:9-10, "'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.' But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God." Our five senses have experienced a lot, but there is another sense that is the most important for us to experience: the Holy Spirit within us.
Even with the Holy Spirit, our fleshly bodies are limited in their abilities to sense all the things of God, but at least, when we have accepted Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the One who died on the cross for all our sins (past, present, and future) and rose again overcoming death and allowing us new life through His sacrifice for us; we can have a peek into the very things of God. I've heard it said that heaven will have colors, scents, and sounds like none we've ever imagined.
May the gift you receive this year be an eternal one, by accepting the One who came as a babe, to seek and save the lost. It's a free gift and there are no strings attached so it's simple to open: Simply believe Jesus is the One God sent to save you from your sins and eventual eternal death, ask forgiveness for your sins, and pray that Jesus Christ will come into your life and make you who God wants you to be. Thank Him for his sacrifice and you will be saved. If you believe in Jesus Christ, your name will be written in the book of life (Rev. 20:15)

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
