"Fowl" Morning

Let me begin by saying that my husband is a "car guy." He takes great care of our older, but "paid for" car and truck. So today, I wasn't looking forward to telling him what happened to the car while he was at golf.
We have company coming for dinner this weekend and I decided to go through the freezer, in the garage, to see what we had to make a special meal. I spied two whole, frozen chickens and decided that could be the makings of something delicious. But as I attempted to pull both frozen chickens towards me, one slipped loose and hit the front bumper of the car parked right next to the freezer. After further inspection, it appeared the fowl had not dented the car, but the plastic packaging on the chicken left a yellow and orange streak on the front end.
Later when I heard my husband come in through the garage, I contemplated the best approach to explain my recent bird encounter. Although, each thought just made me chuckle to myself. So here's how it went. Me: "Hey, the car got hit today." Husband: "By what?" Me: "A frozen chicken." Husband: Smile, no comment. Me: "Yeah, I was trying to get two frozen chickens out of the freezer and one got loose and hit the front of the car." Husband: Smile. "Did it leave a dent?" Me: "I don't think so, just a yellow and orange streak from the packaging it was in."
I explained that frozen chickens are hard to handle, much like a bowling ball without the finger wholes drilled out. To this my husband went about finding the compound that apparently takes things like frozen chicken packaging off of cars and said, "There's no dent, so watch this, it's magic!" He quickly cleared away all evidence of my "fowl" morning. The obvious yellow and orange marks were no longer evident on our white car.
And thus it is with Jesus...we can have "fowl" mornings, even "fowl" months, but regardless, He has cleared away all sin, all marks that should be on our lives due to mishaps and mistakes are now hanging on the cross. Only it is not magic, it is mercy. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, went to the cross carrying mine, carrying your, "fowl moments" on His shoulders. Before we were born and even now, as we continue to live and sin, He knew He needed to come and buff out our errors and errant behavior; otherwise we would have no hope of ever being back in relationship with Father God.
Jesus doesn't make light of sin, but He also isn't here to condemn us. He's here to save us from an eternal life of desperation and despair. My husband later responded, when I said, "I'm making a new recipe for dinner," he replied, "I think I know what it is." "You do?," I said, "What?" He said with a smirk, "Chicken-catch-a-car!"
My husband loves me, he wants to help me, even when I do crazy things, but Jesus loves me, and you, even more than our family and friends. Jesus literally loves us to death, to the point of His death and resurrection, and now He lives in me through the Holy Spirit. If you simply ask Him, He will live in you, helping you navigate your "fowl" mornings. He will rub out the marks of sin on your life and make you whole again.
Simply repent, tell him that you've messed up and need Him to come into your life and make you a new woman or man, "born again" in the spiritual sense. Ask Him to forgive you and be your Savior and Lord. He will come, and make you "white as snow."
Isaiah 1:18
"Come now, let us settle the matter," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."
