Dwell in the House of the LORD Forever
This passage written by King David in Psalms 23 is what is needed today. It's a reminder that God is the One who is in charge, yet He isn't a demanding master, but One who quenches our thirsts and resets our souls:
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
It doesn't get any better than that...I yearn to "dwell in the house of the LORD forever." How about you? If you want to join me, "in the house of the LORD forever," it is simple: Ask Jesus Christ (God's Son) to forgive you of your sins (don't worry He already knows what they are, but wants you to confess them), tell Him you want a relationship with Him as your Savior and Lord, that you believe, in faith, that He came as a baby, grew into a man, died on the cross for the sins of the world (past, present, and future), rose to life three days later, and today is alive.
If you have truly confessed your sins and believe, in faith, that Jesus Christ is who the Bible says He is, you have been saved from eternal damnation (separation from God). Your name has been written in the Lamb's book of life (Rev. 13:8) and when you die, you will be in the presence of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:8 (NLT) Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.
